Faerie Queen Solitaire/Patience rules for Faerie Queen
Object of the game
Move all the cards to the foundations except for the Kings
Deck
104 cards - Two standard decks
Foundation
- Eight foundations built up, regardless of suit from Ace to Queen
- Once placed on the foundation, cards may not be moved
Tableau
- The game starts with one King on the tableau
- An empty space may only be filled with a King
- Any card from the stockpile is placed on the first King until another King appears. The second King is then placed to the right of the first, and cards are dealt onto the second King until a third appears. This process continues, with each new King placed to the right of the previous one, until all eight Kings are dealt, and the remaining cards from the stockpile are laid out in eight columns of varying lengths
- The top card of each column is available for play on the foundations
- When the stockpile is empty, any top card from the tableau can be moved onto an uncovered King, and the tableau can then be built down, regardless of suit
Stock
- The top card is available for play on the foundations or the tableau columns
- There is no redeal
When the stockpile is exhausted
- An uncovered King is equivalent to an empty space, and any available card can be placed on it
- The tableau can then be built down regardless of suit
