Five Piles Solitaire/Patience rules for Five Piles
Object of the game
Move all the cards to the foundation
Deck
52 cards - One standard deck
Foundation
- One foundation for all played cards
- Once placed on the foundation, cards may not be moved
Tableau
- Five tableau piles with one card each
- Discard pairs of cards whose ranks add up to 13. Kings are discarded individually
- The top card of each pile is available for play on another tableau pile
- An empty space may not be filled
Reserve
- Two reserves, initially empty
- The last two cards from the stockpile are dealt here
- The top card of each pile is available for play on the tableau piles
Stock
- When selected, deals one card to each tableau pile except the last two cards
- There is no redeal
Simple addition
Valid pairs are:
- Seven + Six = 13
- Eight + Five = 13
- Nine + Four = 13
- Ten + Three = 13
- Jack + Two = 13
- Queen + Ace = 13
- Kings are discarded individually
