Object of the game
Move all the cards to the foundations
Deck
52 cards - One standard deck
Foundation
- Four foundations built up or down by suit, wrapping from King to Ace or Ace to King when necessary
- The first card played to any base card in the foundation decides whether the building is up by suit or down by suit
- Once the direction of the building has been decided, all four piles are built in the same direction, and it cannot be changed
- Once placed on the foundation, cards may not be moved
Tableau
- Ten tableau piles built up or down, regardless of suit
- The top card of each pile is available for play on the foundations, another tableau pile or the reserve
- An empty space may be filled with any available card
Reserve
- One reserve built by any card, regardless of suit or rank
- Storage location for any card. Any number of cards may be placed on this pile until needed
- The top card is available for play on the foundations or an empty tableau pile
