Little Gate Solitaire/Patience rules for Little Gate
Object of the game
Move all the cards to the foundations
Deck
52 cards - One standard deck
Foundation
- Four foundations built up by suit from Ace to King
- Once placed on the foundation, cards may not be moved
Tableau
- Four tableau columns built down by alternating colors
- The top card of each column is available for play on the foundations or another tableau column
- An entire built group of cards in sequence may be moved as a unit to another tableau column. Parts of a sequence cannot be moved
- Empty spaces are immediately filled by the top card of the reserve. If the reserve pile is exhausted, the top card of the waste pile or the stockpile is used
- Once all cards from the reserve, waste pile, and stockpile are depleted, an empty space may be filled with any available card or a pile
Reserve
- Two reserves with five cards each
- The top card of each column is available for play on the foundations or the tableau columns
Stock
- When selected, deals one card to the waste pile
- There is no redeal, only one pass through the stockpile is allowed
Waste
- The top card of the waste is available for play on the foundations or the tableau columns
