Salic Law Solitaire/Patience rules for Salic Law

Object of the game
Move all the cards to the foundations except for the Queens, and Kings
Deck
104 cards - Two standard decks
Foundation
  • Eight foundations built up, regardless of suit from Ace to Jack
  • Once placed on the foundation, cards may not be moved
Tableau
  • The game starts with one King on the tableau
  • An empty space may only be filled with a King
  • Any card from the stockpile is placed on the first King until another King appears. The second King is then placed to the right of the first, and cards are dealt onto the second King until a third appears. This process continues, with each new King placed to the right of the previous one, until all eight Kings are dealt, and the remaining cards from the stockpile are laid out in eight columns of varying lengths
  • The top card of each column is available for play on the foundations
  • When the stockpile is empty, any top card from the tableau can be moved onto an uncovered King
Stock
  • The top card is available for play on the foundations or the tableau columns
  • There is no redeal
Queens
The Queens are only decorative and play no functional role in the game.
