House of Commons Solitaire/Patience rules for House of Commons
Object of the game
Create four suit sequences of nine cards each, from Two to Ten
Deck
40 cards - One modified deck with all Jacks, Queens and Kings removed
Tableau
- 40 tableau piles with One card each
- All Aces are discarded, leaving Four gaps
- A gap must be filled with a card that is one rank higher in same suit of the card to the left of the gap
- The leftmost gap of each row can only be filled with a Two
- The gap to the right of a Ten cannot be filled
- The top card of each pile is available for play on another tableau pile
- Only One card allowed on each pile
Stock
- When selected, all cards that are not in suit sequence beginning with a Two in the leftmost position are collected, shuffled and dealt back, leaving gaps between the end of the each existing suit sequences and the new cards dealt
- One shuffle is permitted
